Q: What motivates you to wake up and go to work?

A: I love working with clients to help them meet their financial goals. Often, I can make a significant difference for someone by simply making them aware of their best options or by correcting misinformation. I’ve always particularly enjoyed helping business owners with their 401(k) plans and meeting with plan participants.

Q: What do you do at Capstone Triton?

A: As a senior advisor, I help clients with specific financial and investment advice tailored to their situation and serve as a fiduciary to them, their families and their employees

Q: What’s something most people don’t know about me?

A:  Though I grew up in the Oklahoma panhandle, reasonably far from any navigable water, my favorite activity is boating.

Q: Family:

A:  I’ve been happily married to my wife Susan for 37 years. She is retired after nearly 40 years in various positions and boards relating to providing financing for manufacturers and historic preservation. She was a Trustee of the National Trust for Historic Preservation for nine years and on various National Trust Boards for many years. She also is a champion in the avocation of saving dogs. My son Drew graduated from OU in 2016 and completed his military career as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army. He currently works in the medical device field in Oklahoma City. Drew’s girlfriend Madi Nickens graduated in the spring of 2020 from OU and owns a retail business Hatsbymadi.com. We have a beautiful and smart black Labrador Duke and  former shelter dog Katie. Drew and Madi have a white Labrador puppy named Bennie.

Q: When not at work what do you like to do?

A: I enjoy our lake house on Eufaula, home remodeling, driving trips, collecting abstract art, taking trips to our home away from home, Santa Fe, and am a complete geek for nearly anything sports, particularly those teams wearing America’s Brightest Orange!
